Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) with Honours
The Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) Honours program is designed to equip students with foundational and advanced skills in computer applications and technology.
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed (eligible for higher studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any equivalent examination, with Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Application, Information Technology, Informatics Practice, Informatics, or Additional Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Index Mark Calculation:
- For Science group with Mathematics: Total Part III + marks secured in Mathematics.
- For other combinations without Mathematics: Total Part III + marks secured in Computer Science/Computer Application/Information Technology/Informatics Practice/Informatics.
- If both Mathematics and one of the above subjects are studied, the higher mark between Mathematics and the IT-related subject is added.
- Tiebreaker: Priority to Mathematics/Computer Science marks, followed by second subsidiary marks, English marks, and then additional/second language marks.
Master of Computer Application (MCA)
The Master of Computer Application (MCA) at the Centre for Computer Science and Information Technology (CCSIT), University of Calicut, is a two-year postgraduate program spanning four semesters. It offers advanced training in computer science and applications, culminating in industrial training or projects in the final semester.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Completed graduation with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
- Minimum of 50% aggregate marks in undergraduate studies.
