ABOUT US

The Centre for Computer Science and Information Technology (CCSIT) was established by the University in the year 1996 with the aim of promoting higher learning in the field of Information Technology and the Centres have become one of the most sought after destination of the hundreds of students aspiring for quality education in the area of Information Technology. The University offers Post Graduate programme in MCA and MSc computer Science and Graduate programme in BSc Information Technology under the cost based scheme through its centres spreading over the five districts of the University Jurisdiction. The Administrative and Academic activities of this Centres are under the supervision of the Chief Co-ordinator.

CCSIT PALAKKAD is one of the direct study centres of University of Calicut.This Centre for Computer Science and Information Technology,Marutharode (CCSIT PALAKKAD) is a provider of post graduate level education in computer application.We are affiliated to University of Calicut.Established since 2000,the regional centre has responsively contributed many elegant IT professionals to the society.The college is situated in Koduvayur,a scenic village 17 KM away from the heart of Palakkad.

To be the source of bringing out globally competent pioneering computing professionals, researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs and thereby succeed and contribute value to the knowledge-based economy and society.The course was designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Information Technology. It is a postgraduate course that can be taken up after obtaining a Bachelor's Degree. The MCA programme is inclined more toward Application Development and thus has more emphasis on latest programming language and tools to develop better and faster applications.The IT and software industry are dynamic and fast growing, all the programmes are designed keeping in view the requirements of industry. The programmes aim at the understanding of the fundamentals of computing among the students so that they can compete in the present-day global situation.
